Terschelling is surrounded by the sea
The Wadden Sea - our world heritage site - and the North Sea determine a lot of life on our island. When a storm picks up, jutting on the beach continues to touch the blood.
What can you do on the mudflats and in the sea around Terschelling? Everything. From wonderful walking with bare feet through the salty water, sea fishing, shrimp scooping and swimming of course. Pay attention to muys and follow the instructions of the life guards!
The water also brings us seal trips, sailing trips and cruises. Active sports are done with surfing, canoeing, horse riding and kiting!
