Oerol is the controversial and progressive theater festival on the island of Terschelling!

Oerol once started as a happening with street theater and music, but after decades it has grown into one of the largest theater events in Europe. In the third week of June, Terschelling forms the stage for theater makers, musicians and visual artists from home and abroad for ten days. The special locations, often in the open air, give the performances a unique dimension.
