On Terschelling, you always feel that you are on an island. You are never far from the sound of the North Sea and the smell of the Wadden Sea. 80% of Terschelling consists of nature. And the nature is quite diverse; there are forests, beaches, dune valleys and salt marshes, polder landscapes and heathland. More than two hundred kilometers of unpaved hiking trails and more than seventy kilometers of bicycle paths adorn the island. Nature on the island is unique and welcoming in every season.
