A walk on the Noordsvaarder where you can see how the island slowly grows. The Noordsvaarder is perhaps the wildest nature reserve on Terschelling. The nature guide from Staatsbosbeheer tells you about the landscape, flora and fauna. Under the influence of the sea and the wind, the dunes change when you walk towards the sea. We recommend wearing sturdy, waterproof shoes or boots. The terrain can sometimes be quite difficult and wet. Duration approximately 2 hours. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed.

Terschelling consists of 80 percent nature. None of the Wadden Islands is as varied as Terschelling. Between the two seas lie forests, beaches, dune valleys and salt marshes, polders and heathland. A long string of villages connects west with east.
