Duck decoys are islands of peace in the landscape where no one is allowed to go. In the Hoornerkooi of Staatsbosbeheer, the decoy man will gladly take you behind the scenes. He will tell you all about the centuries-old profession of decoy man and why the peace in a decoy is important to him and his ducks. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed. The duration of the excursion is approximately 1.5 hours.

Terschelling consists of 80 percent nature. None of the Wadden Islands is as varied as Terschelling. Between the two seas lie forests, beaches, dune valleys and salt marshes, polders and heathland. A long string of villages connects west with east.
