Terschelling is one of the darkest areas in the Netherlands. It is not without reason that the first Dark Sky Park of the Netherlands can be found on this island. You can experience the darkness of the night all over the island, even under the light of the Brandaris. Staatsbosbeheer takes you to discover the darkness of West-Terschelling yourself. After a short introduction, you will set off on foot for a 1.5-hour walk. As your eyes slowly get used to the dark, your senses become sharper. Listen to the night sounds and hear special stories about this area. In clear weather you can see the starry sky. Come along and discover the darkness of the island on West-Terschelling.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start. Pets are not allowed. Less suitable for people with walking difficulties, babies and toddlers. Think of suitable clothing and good (waterproof) walking shoes or boots.
