Sailing to Vlieland and explore Vlieland. Sail with us to Vlieland. Spend an afternoon on this island and sail back to Terschelling in the evening. The Willem Jacob is a 130-year-old sailing clipper. In the past, it sailed with cargo, mainly on the Rhine. But nowadays, the ship is suitable for sailing day trips on the Wadden Sea. The historic character of the outside has been preserved as much as possible. Inside, the ship is luxuriously and comfortably furnished. Sailing is still done in the old-fashioned way: by hand (sail). That doesn't mean you can just sit on deck and laze around all the time. There really is some work to be done. Like hoisting sails, lifting leeboards and tacking. But there is still enough time along the way to watch seals, for example - if we come across them. Departure at 9.30 am, arrival at Vlieland at 12.00 pm and return around 7.00 pm departure from Vlieland and approx. 9.30 pm arrival at the port of West-Terschelling.
