Knowing more about bees is a better understanding of how important they are for our living environment. You look around you with different eyes when you know more about bees. What blooms at what time of year? What flies where? How good or bad are the nectar and pollen-providing plants in your area? The more you know, the more you marvel at how a bee colony develops, how they communicate, how they handle food and how they are organized. This 3-day course is run according to interest and starts on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are mainly practical days. The lessons are in the morning from 10:00 to 12:00, including digital lesson book. The course will be given in Dutch.

Actually, the apiary is a craft place for processing bee products. This can be all kinds of varieties of honey, such as heather honey, linden blossom honey, willow honey, sea lavender honey, or as a common denominator: boschplaat honey. But care products such as soap or skin creams with propolis, beeswax and royal jelly are also processed here. With the motto “Delicacy at every tide” there is something for everyone to enjoy in the Bijenpark. Our sea lavender honey was chosen as the tastiest European honey in a test in the US last year. We are quite proud of that!
