Every year, on May 4, we commemorate the war victims of World War II. In the Netherlands we will be silent for 2 minutes at 8 p.m.
On Terschelling we commemorate the war victims with a silent march. If you're intersted, you can gather at the town hall from 7 p.m. in order to participate in the silent march. The silent march starts at 7:30 PM and will end a just before 8:00 PM at the monument at the general cemetery. Here appropriate music is played by the band and there is an opportunity to lay flowers. After blowing the Taptoe, everyone will be silent for two minutes at 8 p.m. After two minutes of silence, the flag is raised.
