Cyprian Race is a competition with horse/pony combination where one of the two goes into the water. On the beach of Midsland aan Zee you can experience the Cyprian race, a race with horses and a historic character.

In the past, when word came that a ship was in distress, the so called 'juttersblood' surfaced. Men would go to the beach as quickly as possible on horseback. One of those ships was 'De Cyprian', a ship that sank off the coast near Midsland. With the Cyprian race, this memory is honored.
