Boskalis Beach Cleanup

During the Boskalis Beach Cleanup Tour by the North Sea Foundation, we clean up the North Sea coast, and you can help! You can now sign up for one of the 30 stages taking place from August 1 to August 15, 2024. On August 5, the beach of Terschelling will be cleaned up. So join in and help clean up the beach!

On Sunday, August 1, the Tour starts in the north on Schiermonnikoog and in the south in Cadzand. During a stage, you walk with other participants a few kilometers from the starting point to a beach pavilion and clean the entire beach. With the Tour, the North Sea Foundation shows how much waste ends up on the beaches and in the sea. The source of the waste is continously changing but touristic waste is a big part of this. This year's Tour focuses on pollution caused by cigarette butts. Cigarette filters are the most found waste on our tourist beaches.

On August 5, we will be on Terschelling and will gather at 09:30 AM at the Heartbreak Hotel. Make sure you are on time because we will start cleaning at 10:00 AM.
