On Terschelling you constantly realize that you are on an island, you always hear the North Sea and you smell the Wadden Sea. Terschelling consists of 80 percent nature. Nature is varied: forests, beaches, dune valleys and salt marshes, polders and heaths. The beach of Terschelling is about thirty kilometers long and can sometimes be more than one kilometer wide. There is enough space for everyone and that is why various activities are offered on the beach.
